Whats up ladies and gents. I just bought a 5speed 02 neon se yesterday for 700 bucks for school. I drove it around a little bit and noticed the gauge cluster was only half lit up. I figured i would just replace them with some blue led bulbs since i have to replace them already. It needs front brakes and rotors but other than that she runs like a jewel. So my question is what bulb size is the guage cluster and where could i get some. I tried ebay but i couldnt find anybody that says they are just for neons.

Do you know how many are behind the cluster? Ill take it out and see but i figured id ask to save the hassle.

 

I haven't had mine out in a good while but I'm pretty sure there's 6.

 

There are actually 8 if you count the turn signal and hi-beam indicators. I wouldn't bother buying the expensive LEDs from that site. eBay LEDs work just fine, as long as you get the right ones. I currently have the 20 SMD 168s in my cluster. They look beatuiful. But when you put them in, put them in one at a time and check to see if they work. If they don't, just flip them around until they work.

 

Could you send me a link of some leds that will fit @fhadso?
I looked em up on ebay theyre a lot cheaper than "superbrightleds" but i cannot find a part that says they will fit an 02 neon

 

I wouldn't count the turn signals and high beam indicator as they are already LEDs from the factory, unless you want to try and change the color. To light the actual cluster (speedo, temp and fuel gauge...), you need 6.
