Hey all,

My daughter has a 2005 Neon SXT with the auto trans. She's 700 miles from me, so I can't easily check this myself. Can somebody with a similar car tell me what rpm it should be turning at around 65 mph? And at around 25 mph? She's describing rough running and thinks it's revving much faster than usual in all gears. She says it's in drive just like always.

2005 Dodge Neon SE
4 speeds auto

My car shifts to 2nd at 10 mph, normal driving.
Shift to 3rd at 20 mph
Shift to 4th at 35 mph
TCC Lock up at 40 mph

Idle 800 rpm. Stop lights/signs 600-800 rpm.
At 25 mph in 3rd gear, rpm is around 1700
At 25 mph in 2nd gear, rpm is around 2000 or 2200

At 65 mph with torque converter lock up on, rpm is 2500 rpm.
I never go faster than 65 mph. RPM is too high at this speed.
