Default Rough Idle and/or Steering Wheel Vibration

New here, but have used this forum for sometime to diagnose my problem.

2000 Dodge Neon ES
160K miles ATX

Replaced:
All 3 motor mounts/tranny mount
Intake manifold/valve cover gasket
Lower control arms
Wires/Plugs
MAP sensor/IAC
Water Pump/Timing Belt/Harmonic Balancer

Compression/Fuel/Vacuum pressures have been checked and good
Alternator and battery checked and good
ATX tranny rebuilt from AAMCO in 2009 at 140K miles

Only two things I have not replaced is the Coil Pack and TPS.
No codes or check engine light.

Problem is that there is a bad vibration through the steering wheel and some parts of the body more so when in Drive or Reverse. I have used about 20 cans of throttle body cleaner to test for any vacuum leaks and only found the intake gasket leak. I have a Certified Ford Tech and a Master Tech for Goodyear as neighbors, and everyone is drawing blanks on what the problem may be. Any help or other items to look at would be appreciated.

Did you replace the engine mount with an aftermarket piece, or OEM? Also, did you align the torque struts?

OEM Mounts and have been aligned numerous times by different mechanics/shops. We have also tried to pinpoint all mounts by using floor jack pressure and backing bolts out.....so it does not appear to be coming from the mounts.

Vibration can cause by lose suspension, and steering parts as well.
The struts have strut mounts, and isolators to eliminate some of that.
Drive your car around with worn out tie rod ends, and see how much your steering vibrates.

$120 at the dodge for the motor mount they have, I should be able to get it for 10-20% off.

Though I read you can use newer model motor mounts preferably one for a magnum engine..

Darth what do you think.

I need to make a list of things to check because, I get vibration.
I know I need a new passenger side top mount.

sorry for thread jacking feel free to pm me darth or ayone else if you would like to respond

What's special about the DOHC mount? Both 2.0L engines use the same mount. The problem with the engine mount is aftermarket units are not fluid-filled like the OEM Dodge ones. The OP used OEM Dodge mounts though.
