Cool Programming RKE with a jumper??

Hi all, I have a 2003 sxt I have had the vin run and already know I have factory RKE. When I bought my car it did not come with any remotes so I bought one from ebay and need to program it. I have called all the local dealers and the cheapest was $50.00 to program it. I don't have the money for that, but I heard that it can be done by jumpering two pins on the OBDii connector. All I've seem says to jumper pin 1 to pin 4 but there is no pin one on mine. Does any one know of a way to do this without having to go through the dealer??

If you don't have the original key fob you won't be able to reprogram the tool without a DRBIII scanner.

Go to dealer, sorry.

Agreed. I lucked out with mine. I only had to pay $35 for it. If you want additional transponder keys done, take them in as well. Also, make sure you have the right one.I don't have the key FOB with me, but once I get it I will update this post with the correct model number. The one I bought from eBay wasn't transmitting on the right frequency, so I had to buy a used one from the dealer ($10)
