I have been looking at auto zone and they have a bunch of choices on PCMs for the car my question is do i need to take the car to a shop to have the reprograming done or does autozone have a programing tool that i can rent or they use to reprogram when you buy the pcm. I have 2001 neon se with 2.0l with no security system.

 

Unless I'm mistaken, a dealer would have to program it for you. If it's an aftermarket part, the dealer cannot program it, and third-parties would have to program it for you.
