Default fairly silly question

i was just doing some reading up about having the a/c on and someone said most modern cars switch the a/c off automatically when you peg the throttle. im just curious if thats true and if that works in the neon too

I don't know enough to lump "most modern cars" into that category, but the Neon does indeed cut the A/C Comp. when you go full-throttle.
