ok so i bought the hahn racecraft stage two turbo kit it even came wit the intercooler. what i want to know is since i haven't made any mods what so ever to my 05 sxt what do i need to do to it to just prep it for the stage 2 turbo. i went this far now i might as well go the rest. oh and by the way it was a damn good price for the kit only $3395 for it all. check it out.

If you want to run more boost you will need the bottom end performance build kit from MP...that will cost you $1,200 without install costs...

I have a 2003 Sxt. Current mods include Intake, SRT rear section, Nology wires, MSD coil, MPx Underdrive pulley. Im about to install a Crane Cam and Springs, cant wait to see what difference it will make. Anyway my question is would it be wise to install beefed up injectors? And maybe a pigyback computer( i.e. Apexi SAFC 2), or a jet chip or super chip. My car runs 17 in the quarter mile, I expected it to be better, but I want my car to maybe get in the 14's. I have other ideas for mods, i.e. real exhaust, header, throttle body, etc. . If anyone has any suggestions hit me up.

You dont need new injectors or a piggyback unless you have a turbo...also, if your trying to break into the 14's N/A you have a lot of work ahead of you, for the price you could get nitrous or custom turbo kit for the same amount of money, if not less...and an FYI, none of those chips work on Neons, and there are no aftermaket PCMs avaliable for 03+. Now if you want a standalone management unit (Megasquirt) that will give you complete control over everything...

You'll alos want to hit up an INDY or Magnum Intake Manifold and a LTH if you're going the N/A route...just to name a few things.

BTW, which cam are you going with?

I have a Hahn Racecraft Stage 2 Turbo Kit. I bought it when I was in Afghanistan, the problem with that is Im afraid that it will screw up my engine. And right now I cant afford to that. I also got the port fueler with the kit. Also it is missing a few parts, fuel pressure regulator, fuel injectors and the bolts to mount the turbo to the manifold. So Im trying to sell it, and go N/A. I more than positive that NO2 will be in the future for my car. But Im trying to build up for that. Right now I have a Crane cam # 0012. I hope to install this weekend or next, all I need is new gaskets.

The problem with the N/A route on an 03+ is that you will have the 6750 rev limit, and to get the kind of whp you want you'll need to rev much higher. The only way to get rid of the limiter on the 03+ is to get the Megasquirt standalone system (on the 00-02 there an aftermaket PCM wic eliminated the limiter, but nothing like that for 03+). You'll obviously need to raise your compression significantly, along with a bigger cam (like the 14 or 16 when you have the supporting engine work), a LTH, ITB's (which only a handfull of people have, sicne you have to custom build them), P&P job for basically everything, and many more mods. You could also stroke the engine to 2.2 which would get you to 200whp quicker...a few options for the N/A route, but none of them are cheap...

Damn! Wow it didnt occur to me how difficult it would to go N/A. But its almost as difficult with a turbo, considering the engine isnt disigned for the pressure. I have the turbo, but Im affraid that I would destroy the engine. Im stuck whether I should try to make my car faster, or just stick with simple bolt ons.

Well according to Hahn Racecraft, which by rights should know a little about turbos, you can safely turbocharge a stock 2nd gen Neon engine to 12 lbs of boost, and if I remember correctly (no guarantess on that lol) you will get roughly 250ish horsepower on 12 lbs of boost. Upgrade your bottom end and the Hahn Racecraft turbo kit should give you up to about 30 lbs of boost I believe.

I read their web page a few times, and I dont know why I was still a little scared to do so. Im not looking to race this car everyday, but I dont wanna destroy my car. I feel a little more confidant about installing it. Reading the info that HRC put out, they say that the kit alone will provide 8 to 10 psi. With the current mods and the camshaft, will I exceed 12 psi? Im not that experienced with turbos, I understand them but dont know if what I have might boost the car too much? I pretty that is the limit for the stock internals.
