Default questions on my 2005 neon sxt

I bought an 2005 neon sxt back in march and I noticed that the front bumper has holes made for the factory fog lights, but there isnt any fog lights down there, and there is the factory switch to turn on and off the fog lights. Cause when I turn on the headlights, the fog light symbol comes on the dash. I pulled the car up on the ramp and while I was doing an oil change on it, I couldnt find any wiring for the fog lights. The car looks like it has been in an accident cause the front bumper isnt the same actual color like the rest of the car. Could somebody help me out? I have been searching for an diagram but havent found one yet.

you could be right about the accident and when the body shop replaced the front bumper they ordered the one with the fog light holes and sounds like didnt do a good job color matching or at least blending the paint.

since the holes are there you can add in some led fog lights cheap and wire it in to the side marker lamp

Well, assuming you have the MFS for foglights (pull out after turning), you could probably pull some fog lights from a junkyard or eBay, find the wiring for them, and bolt them on.

If the fog light symbol comes on when turning on the headlights, there might be a problem with the multifunction switch. That's a known problem with the switch.

The previous owner might have removed the fog lights because of this defective switch.

I had this problem but it was even worse: the fog lights were constantly on even though the car and lights were off. It drained the battery one night and that's when I first found about it. I then removed the fuse to stop them from doing that.

Living in Finland we need to take our cars to an inspection once a year and the rule is every light installed on your car has to work like it should. So I had two options, either to remove the fog lights or to fix the switch. I chose to replace the switch with a new one as it's really dark in here most of the year and I need those fog lights.
