then I go to shut it off and try to start it, it wont start I try and try
I push on the clutch pedal break pedal .it in neutral still wont start
I can hear the fule pump turn on for second try to start and it wont start.
I sit for a minuet. then the car would start up ...

well I was out there and started it 6 times it turns over good..
though I had my foot on the clutch pedal and didn't tak it off
..I want too take it to the shop
WHAT SHOULD I HAVE THEM LOOK AT..THE FUEL PUMP FUEL FILTER
THE STARTER WAS REPLACED NOT TOO LONG AGO..
THE BATTERY FINE NO CLICKING SOUND
I THINK IT HAS TO DO WITH THE CLUTCH PEDAL BUT NOT SURE

well I found out the problem,i have to really push the clutch pedal in all the way..
the clutch was put in last year by owner, shift great
now does the pedal need to be push in all the way...can a shop adjust the pedal or is this normal for a neon manueal

I have to push the clutch pedal in all of the way on my car, and every other manual transmission car I've ever driven. That's the way it is supposed to work. If you could start a manual without pushing the clutch all of the way in (completely disengaging it) and you left it in gear, the car would jump forward into whatever was in front of you...say a parked car in a parking lot.
