i hear noise coming from the rear end. any suggestions to help me narrow it down or fluid i can check? thanx,tschay
sorry the car is a 2000 116000 miles ps. it sounds like grinding noise

 

Most noises from the rear are caused by brakes, struts, or sway bar. Since you said grinding I would pull your brake drum and see if you still have meat on the shoes. You will also want to check for missing or broken hardware. Don't forget to undo the parking brake and chock the tires or the drum may not come off. Look at struts for oil leaking and the sway bar bushings on my 2000 were hard as a rock when I replaced them.
