A Ton of issues!!
Okay, I recently had problems again with the transmission in my 03 Neon SXT and took it to have it rebuilt. The shop called me and told me they found antifreeze in the tranny. It looks like the coolant tank in the radiator has sprung a leak and now I have to flush out the entire cooling system and refill with fresh antifreeze. The transmission shop installed an external fluid cooler and I am leaving it that way.
I did notice when I got it home from the tranny shop it was running hot. I am pretty sure the amount of tranny fluid in the cooling system had a lot to do with it. The problem is when I shut the car off, the fans were not running. Shouldn't they be running if the car is hot even when shut off? Also the fans should run with the key in the run position and the A/C turned on, correct? I hope I don't have a big electrical issue to go with all of the other problems I have had recently!!!
Thanks!

they might not got all of the air out of the coolant system, I've always had to burp & reburp mine. nah oil in the coolant system wont hurt it but will make the water pump seal swell over time ( many many years) mine never runs after the ignition is off
