I think I may have a leak in my 2000 neon's ac system. so before i go out and buy a pump and guages i'd like to know if i can put air pressure in to check for leaks. and if so how much pressure? then if i find no leaks i will go out and purchace a pump and guages, or does autozone lend them out? how long do i evacuate the syestem for ,overnight? get back to me.

autozone does sell freon with dye to find leaks. put in freon , run system , check connections for dye.
You never want to put compressed air full of moisture into a system. It would make things worse .
