Default dodge neon head

I have a 00 dodge neon the head is trashed on it what model heads will interchange with my car?please someone lmk asap thank you

I'm pretty sure a 96-99 head will work. I've heard of people doing the opposite (putting a 00 head on a 96-99)

so your thinking 96 dodge neon up head will work?will I have to change anything?

00-05 will work. 96-99 will probably work, but you would have to make a block off plate after you remove the EGR valve.

so I can use a 96-99 head just rig up a block off plate for egr valve?or can I leave it on the head and just block it off attached to the head?they make something for this?other then that is it the same head?please all info I can find out will help thank you and god bless you

Yeah, the 1st gen Neon head will bolt right up. Just make sure it's a SOHC head. I guess you could leave the egr valve on the head. Since it won't have a vacuum line connected to it, it shouldn't open. Or you could make a block off plate. I just made one for my Camaro and it was pretty easy. I found a piece of 1/4" aluminum scrap, put the egr valve gasket on it and traced around it. I cut it out, drilled a couple of bolt holes in it and bolted it on with the gasket. Worked great.
