I just bought an 02 neon with a bad transmission, it has a piece of snap ring in the pan. Can anybody tell me what years I need to look for for a replacement, or is it a year specific transmission. Thank you all for you time.

 

2002 to 2005 will work, but I would look for an 03 or newer. The trans in my 02 took a crap at around 81K. I put one in it out of an 03 and it performs better than the original ever did.
