need help..my 01 neon suts down when temp gets closed too 200..

Default need help..my 01 neon suts down when temp gets closed too 200..

my 01 neon when water temp get closed to 200 and it pops threw the throttle body and dies..after 5 mins it will restart and runs unit it gets to that temp..does anyone had that trouble ?

pops are backfires, that's caused from timing being off right after a new timing belt installation or bad plug wire... check your wires to make sure non are broken or pulled apart then pressed backtogether... too many back fires can crack that plastic manifold dont run it for months this way

dont think its that..when it sits idling it gets alittle over 200 degrees and the idle speeds up alittle bit and drops down and it shuts down...

Ok Id found out what it was ..did some resurch on it..it was the crank sensor..!!

glad ya fixed it =) cam sensors next unless you replaced it already
