2005 Neon, dies when warm, won't start
Bought a non running 2005 2.0 engine, Neon, kid had attempted to do the timing belt himself, and bent all 8 intake valves. Pulled the head, had new intake valves put in it, head milled, exhaust valves ground, so basically a new head. Runs good, but when it gets up to where the cooling fan comes on, it will shut off in a couple of minutes, and will not start for about 10 to 15 minutes. I have poured cool water on everything, but it takes 10 to 15 minutes sitting there with the hood up.
Threw a po0129, and a po0107, when it did it. I know this means it needs a map sensor, but will a map sensor cause it to die, and not start? Seems to loose spark, during that period of no run, time.
Any ideas please?
