HELP! My'05 started running rough, it takes 5 seconds of engaging the ignition to start, it surges while stopped, sputters while accelerating and will not go faster than 59 mph. However, after driving approx 7 miles I can pull over, turn it off, and then it will restart normally, accelerate normally, and go faster than 59 mph. If, after doing this, I turn on the fan, it goes back to the first condition.
I have replaced: spark plugs and wires(number 2 was corroded), cam sensor, ignition coil, and finally the crankshaft sensor. After replacing crankshaft sensor, it ran fine for a few weeks, then started again.

 

Is the check engine light on? Are there any codes?

 

Yes, the light is blinking. The code is for the crankshaft position sensor, which was just changed 2 months ago.

 

A blinking CEL means that there is a major misfire and the car shouldn't be driven. It's weird that it just goes away after "resetting" the car after 7 miles.
