Default Dirty power window switch fix

My driver's side power window switch has been acting up lately and I would have to hold back on it rather hard in order to get the window to go down. I fixed it yesterday by just pulling up the control panel out of the arm rest of the door, it pops out without any tools. Then I was able to access the plugs that go into the back of the window switches, sprayed all contacts liberally with Electrical Contact cleaner which evaporates instantly and leave no residue. Plugged connections back in, checked to make sure they work properly and popped the panel back down into the arm rest. Now the window switch works like a champ. Glad it was just dirty contacts and not a faulty switch.

It's always nice when things are a simple fix and not a long, involved problem!

Thanks Darthroush, Most of my info so far on my neon has came from your posts. Evidently, you are the neon guru in my opinion. Thanks for your help. I have a "new" problem that I will start a new thread on and I'd sincerely appreciate your technical expertise. Look for it in the 2nd gen neon section.
