Default tranny cooler

Is it ok to add a tranny cooler in front of the radiator to replace the oem one thats been known to go bad and mix coolant and tranny fluid? I dont want to chance that happening.

Yup. Just get the right size so it doesn't over cool, or add a thermostat.

If you aren't towing, this should be fine (the smallest one, basically): http://www.shop.perma-cool.com/1010-...0-GVW-1010.htm
If you live where it gets cold in the winter, it certainly wouldn't hurt to add that thermostat to make sure it doesn't overcool: http://www.shop.perma-cool.com/1060-...Ports-1060.htm

All in all, probably around $100 for everything if you shop around.

Nice. That would make a Nice set up. Is this problem with the internal tanks leaking on oem and aftermarket or just oem radiators? Thank you for the replies.

Seems to be factory units. I don't recall hearing about it happening with an aftermarket one.
