How hard is it to turbo an 04` SXT? If theres another post on here that goes through this process just point it out to me, Im trying to help out a friend. Thanks, Jay

 

Honestly, if you have to ask you may not want to attempt. Is it a kit or a DIY turbo set-up? What kind of background do you have with working on cars?

I recently built my own turbo set-up on my 2003. I had full access to a machine shop and a spare car to drive to work and the endless trips from the shop to the store for misc fittings and such. The install is pretty easy in my mind. The hardest part of my install was swapping to the magnum head with a spacer. The rest was easy.

I've had to take my brothers tranny off his SRT-4 3 times... i'd much rather install a turbo kit than pull that beast off again.

but it is possible i had some tech guy today say you couldnt put a turbo in an sxt it has to be custom fitted what kind of turbo charger would you buy? kinda new at all this so if someone could give me a link or somethin it would be cool
