Default 2005 Neon

Hi all, I have started rebuilding my 41TE on my 2005 neon. I am going through the rebuild manual and am stuck and need some help, please.

I am installing the reverse low steel and friction disks. the manual states to install the low and reverse disks leaving out the last disk and friction plate, then install snap ring.

I leave the last steel and friction disk out and install the snap ring. This leaves a 0.265 gap between the snap ring and the last friction disk. Is the normal?

I am also wondering if the stack is right. The las build up of the 4 disks is a friction disk. is this correct?

Welcome to DF. I moved your post to the correct section and out of the existing thread you posted in.

O.K. after some reading on the net and measurements I have discovered the stack. 10 steel and friction disks for the low/reverse clutch. one steel pressure plate .210 thick between the low/revers and the 8 disks for the 2nd/4 clutch.
