Default 2004 neon won't crank when hot out

Tricky problem- car does fine all winter, but now that temperatures are rising car gives me trouble after driving and then parking for a little while. It sometimes cranks sluggish and then stops, sometimes not at all. If I let it cool off it will start normal. It is not the starter or battery. I have discovered that if I let it roll a couple of inches then put in park while moving, it will try to crank and stop, or it will crank and start. When it doesn't crank at all there is no power at the solenoid wire with key in start mode. I don't understand how rolling and putting in park while rolling helps. Automatic trans., high mileage.
Any "out of the box" valid ideas?

the trans saftey switch is on its last leg, or are your motor mounts broken to where the pcm wiring harness is rubbing on the metal?
