Back in march 2015 I noticed a strong gas smell coming through the ac vents. I tracked the gas leak up by the firewall at a quick connection where the hard fuel line meets the pulsation damper and then goes to the fuel rail. I changed this line out and it seemed to take care of the problem for the last eight months. Now the leak is worse even after changing with a new line again (I thought maybe an o-ring had gone bad). Could this be a failing fuel pressure regulator instead?
