Alright im a new member used to be a member on 2gn forgot my username tho and i have a question about my 2005 2.0 neon sxt auto. Ok so the car sat for about a year because it needed a head job and from what i read a shift solenoid and in and out sensors. finally got it all replaced started it up first time engine light was still on but my exhaust note sides alot better, take my test drive and its stuck in 2nd im assuming i can do about 40 at 3.6k comfortably. So i was thinking crap i need a tranny but i held off till i got a code reader and today i finally brought one and it gave me p0038 twice which is o2 sensors. My question is would that cause shifting problems and how should i go about this. Any help much appreciated

 

Fix the 02 sensor problem first and go from there.
