Default 2003 Neon SXT - Throttle Position Sensor

Quick question regarding OBD-II readings for Throttle Position Sensor. My scanner is reading 12.9% at idle, 77.3% at wide-open-throttle. No check engine light but concerned with the 12.9% at idle...can anyone confirm spec values for this vehicle?

Thanks in advance...

Welcome to the 2nd Gen Neon forum.
I see you don't have any replies, so I'll see if I can get things started.
Those readings seem to be in the normal range, which is 0.6-4.5 volts of a assumed 5 volt reference.
So, a closed throttle reading of 12.9 % of 5 volts = 0.645 volts.
& a wot reading of 77.3% of 5 volts = 3.865 volts.
Thus if you back probe the TPS at closed & wot throttle, you should be measuring close to .0645 & 3.865 volts DC, assuming you have a full 5 volt reference to begin with, so measure the reference voltage & factor it by the decimal % the scan tool read.

Thanks Paw Paw...those are close to the values I got when back probing the TPS, I just was concerned with the %'s I was seeing on my scan tool.

Appreciate the reply...
