Default Neutral without key

Hi
Wondering how i could get 05 neon into neutral with no key. My wife lost her only key and its parked front towards a deck in our lot. No one seems to be able to tow it to dodge from there so i was hoping to beable to get it into neutral to move it to better position for tow truck. Only one company locally can come make and program a key and they cant do it till next week. Any info would be great.
Thanks

Maybe something in the owners manual. I would think there is some sort of release inside the console you could press or something to release the shifter.

No manual with the carbut i checked for any feature like this. Alot of cars have the slot to pop open by the shifter to stick something in and release but this one does not seem to have it.

Interesting they couldn't hook up the back and put the dollies on the front wheels to pull it back. I don't know of a manual bypass, especially on the electronic automatics.

I know right lol i was expecting jack front up. Put drive wheels on dollies and be done with it lol and im fairly good with cars. Work on bikes and cars all the time but wasnt aware of a manual way to do it shy of getting under and unhooking tranny link to shifter.

If you can get into the vehicle to pull the hood release, you could raise the hood, remove the air box so to get to the tranny shift cable clamp, to loosen & remove it from the shaft. Then use a pliers, or vice grips on the "D" shaped shaft & if it's in "P", rotate the shaft CW 2 detents into "N", so it can be rolled back.
More thoughts for consideration, let us know how it goes.

Thanks. I can get into the car and pop the hood. I found a local company that can come out and make/program a key. Waiting to hear back from them today as to when it can be done. I will be away for the next couple nights so wont be able to try that but if they are not going to be able to do it within a day or so of ne getting back home then i will try that and let ya know how it goes.
Thanks
