I have a 2000 neon with a factory cassette radio player combo. If I were to find the same thing out of a same year or newer neon with a CD Player instead of the cassette would that be a direct swap?

I believe if you use a 2000 or 2001 factory CD unit, it plugs right in. To use 2002-2005, you need an adapter harness from the dealer as they went to a single connector instead of dual. Part number 82207541
