Default 2003 Neon will not idle

It was idling a bit rough (could use plugs but unemployed and broke). Then the starter went out.
I pulled the air filter box of like I've done before (cam sensor, grometts in shift linkage) by pulling the wires from the sensors, pull bolts out of box, loosten intake hose, put whole box on top of coil pack out of the way being careful not to kink the throttle linkage. I moved it to gain access to the top starter bolt that comes in from the transmission side with the ground on it. Then dove under the car pulled the bottom bolt and wires off and fished it out from behind the intake. Used a salvage starter ($22 cause I'm broke) and reassembled it in opposite order. Wires, bottom bolt, top bolt (sure to connect ground) replace air box, tighten clamp, bolt down, attach vaccum lines and sensors. Now the car will not idle at all. It doesn't sputter and quit it dies like shutting off a light switch (I don't have time to go from driving position to heel-toe on the brake (manual trans) before its dead). I pulled the air box back off to make sure I didn't miss a connection or the ground strap hadn't broken but everything seems fine. Any ideas of what I fouled up? The car runs fine if you give it gas but just will not idle (been limping it around last couple days).

Default Found it

Goggled "neon will not idle" and everything I read pointed at the IAC valve. Pulled the connector and I had got some grease in there I didn't notice before. A quick clean an she idles again. Now to fix the brake caliper that went out earlier...
