Default Vacuum Hose?

Hey,

Working on clearing intermittent P0440 & P0441 codes on my sisters 2003 Neon 2.0 L V4 SXT.

I'm not sure if my picture links work. I couldn't post pictures.

So i was wondering where the hose plugged into the front of the green thingie is supposed to go. Looks like a mechanic plugged the other end with a screw.

Thanks!
Where's the part located? Does she get bad fuel mileage? Is there a check engine light on? Is that's a EVAP part?

How does the EVAP system work on a car? The PCM opens the canister purge valve, which allows intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine. The charcoal canister is connected to the fuel tank via the tank vent line. Under normal circumstances, the EVAP canister causes few problems.

I see it goes under the dash drivers side. Looks like a EVAP part.
