Question problems with 2005 neon after tranny swap

hey all I'm new here and i am in desperate need of help and advice. I just replaced the transmission on my 2005 neon. swapped it out with a tranny from an 01. the tranny that was bad had a plug on the front of it that actually hooks up into the computer. the tranny i put in does not have that plug on it. i have all put back together but the starter does not even click. i have lights and power and can hear the fuel pump kick on. what do i need to do? swap computer and wiring harness from the 01 to the 05? please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:icon _rant::icon_scre wy:

02-05s had the 41/40TE electronic 4-speed and the 00-01s had the 31TH hydraulic 3-speed. I'm not positive how accurate this is, but I found this with Google search, as far as what all you need to put a 3 speed into a 4 speed car: "00-02 throttle body, transmission, cables, and possibly shifter. Then use an 03 5 speed computer." Of course, you'd probably have to have it towed to a dealer/shop after the computer swap to have it reprogrammed to your car too.

Honestly, getting the proper transmission would probably be less of a headache in the end, and everything would work correctly.
