ECU pinout
Ive recently installed an aftermarket tachometer in my 2000 Dodge neon 5-speed (didnt have a factory tachometer) i currently have the pulse signal wire for the tach wired into the signal wire in the ignition coil harness... i was told to wire as close to the ECU as possible but i cant seem to find a proper diagram for my make and model any suggestions ???

Welcome to the 2nd Gen Neon forum.
Look in the FSM pages 8W-80-37 & 38 in the Connector Pin Outs, for the ECM pin outs.
We can access the FSM by looking in the stickys section atop the forum index page & clicking on the Part#/Maintenance Interval/Fluid capacity link & when it opens, scroll down to the bottom center of the 1st post, under 2nd Gen Neon click on your year range to open a Google file. You'll need to be logged in to your Google account for it to open, then look at, or down load the file for future reference.
