new to this
i'm not real whippy at this forum stuff so any help appreciated. my son has a 2000 neon. he says recently when he turns a corner, usually right, the engine gives him the impression that it is stalling out. he says this usually occurs when he's down to about half a tank or less. right now, Kansas weather is pushing the 100's so i'm sure heat may be a factor. fuel pump was replaced about 3 years ago, don't really look forward to that being a contributing problem. any theories, suggestions, help greatly appreciated.
Really too vague to hazard a guess. Had it scanned for codes? When was the last tune up? You should take it for a drive yourself or have him duplicate the issue with you there. That way you have first hand information about what’s going on instead of “he said”.
thank you for the response. I have drove it before and I have noticed the "stall". usually upon acceleration and turning a corner, it feels like it is sputtering out of gas. last tune-up was a couple of years ago. it's pretty tired, has almost 200,000 on it but it keeps pluggin' along.
