2003 neon cruise control
2003 Neon cruise control;
When turned ON... (pressing the end of the stalk to initialize), with engine running, the dash light comes on 'CRUISE' for about a second, then goes off. Have to shut down to get it to light up again. There is no cruise function.
When engine is off, but key is in 'run'... the light will come on and stay on. It will click on and off each time the 'on' button is pushed.
Has anybody dealt with this symptom? looking to see if there is something to look at real quick before I dive head first with a DRB

Is the lumination on the control switches on the steering only for the 2003 models? My 2000 dues not have them, at least not that I can tell and never recalled if they ever luminated when I first bought my durango.
