Default First Upgrade

I own a 2004 Dodge Neon Se 2.0 and I'm wondering what would be a good first performance upgrade. Hopefully something not to pricey too. Or if you have any tips on a upgrade plan that would be good too. oh also I live in California so I know our regulations on well everything are a lot stricter so try to stay within Ca law haha thanks

What do you want to upgrade, what are your plans and what is your budget?

im not sure what I want to upgrade first.. that's kind of my question. what did you do as your first upgrade and what company did you buy your product from? and budget wise for my first part I would like to keep it under $150. and I'm not entirely sure on a plan for now just want to make it look clean give it a few extra horsies and sound good

I upgraded my interior lights to LED from Amazon, then I did a complete maintenance an tune up using advance auto, maintenance before mods. For $150, you can do that.

I just gave my car a tune up like 1700 miles ago. brakes. oil filter spark plugs and wires. but I just got the parts from orileys.. advance auto sells the parts you need but are they of better quality? does it make that big of a difference compared to the stock parts at orileys?

No real difference between the brands sold at the major parts stores. How about your suspension? How many miles are on it? Checked the timing belt?

my belts are good I changed those a few months ago. and my suspension hasn't been changed since I got the car. so I guess that would be a good place to start? I would like to do that myself if possible. is there a good brand that isn't to pricey? I live in a pretty rural area with some steep roads and lots of pot holes so I'm not to interested in lowering my car. I want to but it just wouldn't be convenient. my suspension is pretty stiff though. a good brand that's got a little more give to it?
