Default I Need Help Too ...

My 2003 is stuck in a Wal Mart parking lot as I write this.

I have been having problems with the shift lever on the automatic transmission, mostly with the shift button on the shift lever.

It has been slow to shift with the button, out of the park position, and real bad to shift in cold weather.

Anyways - as I went to the Wal Mart this morning, and returned to the car, it will not even shift out of the park position, and the button on the shift lever will not even move, I even tried to bump the car to jolt the tranmission to see if the shift would work.

I lost a good day of bird hunting with this problem, and have now have to find a way to work in the morning, plus to get a tow to a dealer to try to find out this problem

Do any of you have any ideas, or solutions to this problem ????

Thank You Very Much ...

Jon in Las Vegas ...

The button is the problem, not the trans. The button is hanging for some reason, take the shifter apart and find where its hanging.

If there is no warranty left, then by all means try it yourself if you can.
