Default Idle problem

i have a 2000 neon, after getting my clutch done about a week later i noticed the engine didnt directly return to idle when i let off the gas and pushed in the clutch for stopping or shifting. it would always stay at 2000 rpm and then come down to idle rpm about 4-5 seconds later, i think it may be a vacume line dissconected some where but i couldn't find one. dose any one else konw what it might be?
thanks

vacume sounds like a good place to start. I would not think that it would be the clutch hanging if thats what your thinking.

check your pcv valve. when i was messing around with my intake, i disconnected it and started without knowing i didnt reconnect it and it stayed at around 2000rpm

make sure the intake tube is firmly attached to the TB and to the intake manifold. also, check those little tubes for leaks and disconnections. is your TB closing all the way after the throttle is pressed? i had a weak throttle return spring and it can cause some erratic reving.
