To start, my fiance and i have a 97 neon that we managed to make fly, messed up the frame, and snapped the rear axle. We are being given an 04 neon with a bad motor and a decent trans with lower miles, I think it has about 90k. I have a few basic questions, would the motor out of the 97 fit in the 04, and would the tranny have to go with it? Or will the newer trans (both are automatics) bolt up? Would I need to use the 97's wiring harness and computer? Essentially "how can I make this work" is my question. Thank you in advance for your time, and help, it means a lot.
