Default Possible transmission problem?

For the past couple of weeks, when I get ready to leave work in the mornings, sometimes my car has trouble going into reverse. It pauses before it actually goes into reverse. (it's an automatic btw). It could possibly be I need to let my car warm up longer maybe? I don't seem to have the problem any other time.

Also, this has nothing to do with the transmission but if I'm parked downhill, anti-freeze leaks, any other time it doesn't do this. Thanks.

you know thats funny because my girlfriend is having the same problem with her acura integra. (not that there is a good comparison, it's a jap car) but anyways her's isnt going into reverse it is going into park and it is all of the time. we could go for a ride and then she will come to a stop and try to put it into park and it will go but the light wont come on in the dash telling you it is in park. the problem is that the keys wont come out unless that little P lights up. we have sat some places for as long as like 5 minutes. and once you let go of the shifter button you cant shift to any other gear until that light comes on. anyone that knows about these problems please help. i wanna fix it for her.
