Default srt livin loud tweeter ?

2005 SXT with the srt livin loud speaker system.

I want to diconnect the tweeters and was wondering if anybody knows if there is a plug some where between the door speaker and the tweeter up in the dash? Or do I have to remove the dash cover and unplug the tweeter at the speaker?

Also does anybody have a speaker wiring diagram or know on the web where I could down load one.

Thanks,

it would be easyer to take the hole dash cover off it would be easyer then trying to trace the wires

there is only two screws holding the dash on and there on the top of the dash ware the a/c sucks in the air and then take off your piller covers they just pull strait out pull up on the front of the dash tell all the clip are out across the dash and then pull it towrds your shelfand it will come wright out

Tried all that. I put in a Sirius receiver and the clarity is so much better that the cheap tweeters in the dash can't handle it.

I am gonna replace the door speakers with some good Infinity's and so the tweeters will not be needed.

Thanks for the info.

tweeters is where a bunch of the voice and melody flow through your sound system. I wouldn't recommend getting rid of them entirely. I'd replace them with a nice set from pioneer or JVC. They both produce speaker sets that replace those found in the neon.
