some CAI's will interfere with the current location of the battery. Sure, moving it to the trunk would solve the problem, but not necessary. All you'd have to do is move it to another location that wasn't interfering with the new CAI. Some CAI manufacturers will suggest a location and include a new battery tray in their parts list to assists the movement.

I have the AEM CAI for my '05 SXT and I didn't have to move my battery either.
I like it.

I don't think there is any CAI for a 2nd gen that requires you to move the battery. I think that was only the case on the 1st gen neon...someone correct me if I'm wrong on that.

I have an 04 and a CAI from ebay with bypass valve for 50 bucks. Its not even close to touching the battery and works just as well as an AEM, K&N or mopar and that saved me 200 dollars which I'm using for my pacesetter header. But no problem with the battery and it gives you alot of room in the engine compartment compared to stock really happy with that.

Side note: What program do you gus use to lower the file size without distorting the picture from a digital camera. Paint dosn't work to well as you can see but it gives you and idea.
