At highway speeds my wifes 2002 ES will surge 200 to 300 rpm at steady cruise with the air on or in defrost mode. I know it is doing this when the compressor is kicking in and out. Just wondering if this is normal or something to be concerned about. It is quite annoying to me. Is there anyway to eliminate this surge other than just shutting off the air or not using the defrost?
