i know this has probably been covered many times but i was wondering if i lower my 04 neon with lowering springs would it void my warranty? and what if i only lower it an inch or so would that matter?

best thing to do is to check with your dealer, i am good friends with mine so i dropped it when it was still under warenty but i would check with your dealer before you do anything

i dont see how it could void your warranty.

The only points the user agreement describes is screwing with the Odometer and You have made it unable to pass emission standards. Thats about it. Anything you put on the car and is not done right, your car is still covered but they wont fix the problem that was created by the new part becuase of an improperly installed aftermarket component... Hope that helps a bit. (i spent quite sometime looking through my manual when making a list of modifications).

i was told by the dealer the warrent will be voided for anything that went wrong with the suspension or pretty much anything mechanical that could possible be affected by the lowering springs. I went ahead and lowered it anyway, i figure the warrenty isn't goning cover anything major that i can't fix myself, so far so good no prolbems at all, i used the warrenty for a rebuilt cv joint, had no prolbems at the dealership with the lowering.

I have the extended 70,000/7 year warranty, so i have to be careful of what i do to my car, but when i had mine lowered the dealer sayed if anything related to the suspension went bad it would void that portion of the warranty, not the entire warranty. So if anything happens, i have to pay for it when it comes to the suspension, but since its an aftermarket part anyways, thats what i would expect.

I agree with joe2002dn, there arent very many things that could go seriously wrong with the suspension that couldnt be fixed, or replaced, so the warranty for that wouldnt matter anyways. Unless of course you believe in the worst case scenerio...

i talked to the dodge dealership yesterday... i also have the extended 7yr-70,000 warranty they said that as long as its not the lower springs that cause something to happen to the suspension then it'll be under warranty but if they are the cause of it its not covered
