Okay, with the auto matic transmission, what else can I do to make performance upgrades. I understand the computers on these cars are restrictive. What about a Hahn turbo kit that is limited to only 7lbs of boost. I'm only looking to add 40hp. Will the automatic transmission handle an additional 40hp? Heeeeellllllllllpppp?

Basically, what I've learned is that I'm srewed because of the damn computer. I asked the question to see if any NEW ideas came about.

 

yeah, the computer leaves you hooped, but don't let the discourage you. There's still plenty you can do. Air Intake, exhaust, short shifter, underdrive pulley, larger throttle body, and headers. Your fuel mileage might not be the greatest, but that can be expected if you're going for a pure performance engine. Personally, I'm trying to get a peppy daily driver that'll take me where I want to go, nothing on the track. I really wish someone would give some indication that they were working on a new computer for the SXT/SX2.0 so as to give their owners a bit of confidence in their purchace. For now, you've got a list you can work on, hopefully that can keep you busy enough to tide you over. Good luck.

I agree. All I want is a peppy daily driver. I would be very happy with an extra 30 hp while retaining the excellent gas mileage.
