i wanna gat 17s but should i get 17x7 , 17x7.5 , or 17x8 and wound i run the risk of rubbing i got a stock suspension on a 04 sxt

17X7 any thing larger will rub. But my 17X7 s rubded both front and back at first but were ok after i got spacers.

17x8 will rub in the back and you will need to get spacers, i'm not sure about 17x7.5, and 17x7 should fit perfectly.

well i know that MP sells spacers for rims if that helps at all...dont know if that would be enough to solve any suspension problems that too wide of tires would cause?? im currently looking at 17x7.5

I think it depends on the offset of the rim as to whether it will rub or not. I got 17x7s on my car and I don't believe its even close to rubbing.
