They tinted over the lines in mine... I haven't had any problems... Just don't use your rear defroster unless you have too, lol...

5 and 10% are very hard to see out of in the rear.... but I see fine with my 15%... our cars are small, so its not that bad... now its different in my dad's SUV...

I don't recommend 5 or 10%... 15% should be the darkest you should go...

 

I'm assuming that's 15% tint in your sig, Midnightblueneon? That looks fine to me, probably what I'm going to get.
Why not use your rear defroster, though?

 

I have 5% in the back, and 15% in the front. Some people can handle the 5%, some can't. It's a personal preference. It's not easy to see out of at night, but I don't have a problem with it. Hope that helps.

Yes it's 15% in my sig and all my pics...

Sometimes, with certain tint, the rear defroster can cause the tint to bubble up... especially at the top, where those "lines" are, as long as you don't use it for the first 3-7 days, and/or it's good quality tint... you should be fine...

i used to 5% all around on my last car, and it was great. it was hard to get used to driving at night but once i did i enjoyed it. now on my 03 r/t i have 15% all around that was already on there when i bought it last october, and it is just as enjoyable.

 

I got 20 in the rear of my explorer and then 35% in the middle and 15% in the front to give it an equaled out look because it was equipped with factory tint.

 

I got 20% all around... when the cop stoped me and checked the tint it read 16%... dont ask me..... they did also tint over the back lines and it came out fine.... id go with some 5% tint...

 

when i get my windows tinted i want it 5% all the way around. right now it has some 15% two tone that goes from blue to chrome, but the drivers window got mesed up so that one just has blue on it. its all getting ripped off though so that i can do it dark.

 

Actually, midnightblue, the current law in florida is 28% when I checked online last week...which seems ark enough for me...now just gotta save up the cash...how much does tinting cost anyway, on average?

 

I was once told that tint, other than factory, was illegal in some provinces. I know a guy that tinted 5% allover even the windsheild, he cut out the wiperblade pattern. He didn't make it out of town before he was stopped by the police and made to remove it. In jamaica the often tint everything minus a 6 inch strip to see out of. Personally 30% all over looks the best, doesnt get me tickets, I can see at night and chicks tell me they like it better than all blacked out like a criminal.
