It's easy to misunderstand or simply give bad info on tires. The Kumho's are a very nice low profile tire and I loved them on my clubcab Dakota. Very nice especially when you slap on a lil tire wet to give them that shine.

Enjoy the tires bud, but I will suggest you find a local junkyard and snag another 16" rim and get another tire for it. Donuts arent great when you have low profile tires. It throws off the treadwear really badly and depending on how your car sits....you may not even be able to use it anyways.

I have my car lowered, and a donut on the front wheels wouldnt even work. The car would sit too low to drive it safely. I'm myself currently in the process of putting wheels on layaway...so having a spare isnt a concern for me.

now a couple more questions, what places can I order from that would have layaway? Also someone did mention to me if 16's are not the stock rim it could throw my tranny outta wack and speedometer. Is this true? I can see the speed being of slightly due to the rpm but tranny has me scratching my head a little. Thanks for all the help!![:-]

Well, I cant tell you which places would have a layaway, but alot of places you can arrange to finance products by ordering thru them. You can also check with local places that will allow you to do the same. I wish I could tell you more. I know DiscountTire does financing on products, but the nearest one to you is up near Columbus.

As for your tranny, I wouldnt worry about it. Your speedometer yes could be off, but the only thing that would truly mess with your transmission is not having your car in proper alignment on those wheels. That's the same with any wheel however.

The best way to ensure the proper speedo readings, is to measure your wheel's diameter, and match it to a stock 15" wheel for the Neon. If those two measurements match, then your speedo is reading correctly. Since they went a rim size higher and went with a low profile tire, I dont think you have much to worry about honestly.

Yeah I had it with the stock tires My 04 sxt which I bought new and those goodyear tires are 30 thousand mile tread life and my husband just blew one back one last week my tires were so worn which i have 43 thousand miles on her I had to buy new tires 2 months sooner than I wanted plus I wanted to stick to 15s so I got wider 15s and got michelin hydroedges which have a 80 thousand mile tread life now and wow what a difference in driving. Also going to custom paint my rims a gloss black.
