Default fuse

ok, everytime i turn on my car theres 2 sets of three short beeps that go off and in the cluster, where it shows the milage, the word FUSE is shown for a few moments while the beeps beep. Its the same beep that beeps when you have the door open and it says door on the cluster ontop of the milage, but the FUSE im talking about appears where the actual milage appears. As far as i know everything works fine with no problems, i checked the fuses and all are working fine. By the way i have a 2000 dodge neon, it has the cluster without the tach. I have checked a repair book that year neon and no where in the book says anything about those little beeps or the fuse warning on the cluster. Really appreciate any reply's. Thanks.

i had something like this happen to me in my 05 sxt.... i don't remember the beeps though. i think i removed and reseated most of the fuses and i also had to recharge my battery buecause for some unknown reason it had died (no i didn't leave the lights on). this happened to me about five months ago and it hasn't happened again.

Check and reseat all the fuses in the dash and under the hood. Use known good fuses to do the check. Also make sure all the fuses are there.

Driver side dash, right in front of your left knee. Buy some spares at Auto zone, You'll get an assortment. The fuses are marked as to what circuit they are on the cover. Just replace the cigar lighter fuse with one of the same amperage, each one is marked. And see if this fixes the problem. If not buy a new lighter and now you have some spare fuses for when you really need them! If you are talking about the actual power outlet it may only work with the key on.
