spray the **** out of it with kroil let it sit 4 a while, hit it a few times, move it furiously, hit it some more, scream in frustration, and if all else fails use a torch 2 heat it up so the metal expands and breaks the rust but im not sure if kroil is flammible, it prob is so be careful, and dont burn urself

I'm looking into replacing my Pacesetter cat-back too. The condition on mine is still ok though.
How did yours rust out? Does the muffler looked cracked on the inside of the tips? Do you have any pics?

Let us know how u like the Thermal; it would be cool if you post some pics.

You may also want to try PB Buster I think its called. It has seemed to work rather well for me on rusted parts in the past. Just spray it on and let it sit awhile and try to get it off. Tap it with the hammer a bit. If you must break out a torch, be real careful because it is flammable.

Thanks for all the tips, i was able to just use a some wd-40 and banged the hell out of it with a hammer... As for the Thermal exhaust clearly better sound as well as quality. The pacesetter exhaust rusted at a few of the hangers causing them to break, i had them re welded to only break again..became very frustrating, and yea to answer your question lblackneon the exaust was also starting to rust/cracked inside of the tips. I will try to take some pics today of the exhaust...cars pretty damn dirty right now...
