what do all of you think an srt 4 turbo setup is worth, acording to a guy i know, one of his friends is selling the turbo, manifold, downpipe, intercooler, intercooler piping, and complete exhaust!!! what do all of you think this setup is worth, i do not know what it is worth but the guy says his friend wants to sell if for 800, i think it sounds like a great deal but i am not sure, if this is true i will have to have an DOHC to SOHC adaptor for the manifold does any of you know where to get it from? thanks for your help

 

im not sure how much it is worth, but if you plan on putting that turbo on a sohc neon you better b doin some internal work unless you want to blow up your motor in about 5 min

 

Turboed stock internals on a SOHC Neon = Boom. It is a good deal though.

 

dude if you buy that dont think thats it man u still gonna need more **** than that but no you wont blow up your motor just keep the boost to a minimum like no more than 6... if u do blow somehting itll be your head gasket which is no big deal but when you replace it might as well throw in some new arp head bolts and reseat your valves and replace your valve guides and ask about a 3 angle valve job the whole procedure isint that expensive... and you dont need an "adapter plate" just put the manifold up against your exhaust ports and check the bolts just drill them out and cover the other ones with a good weld... hey i was wondering do you know if any kind of neon besides the srt-4 came with a dohc motor between 2000 and 2005... just wonderin cuz i have this bet goin with this dude but he says his chics car is dohc and its an 04 or 05 i think... just wondering...

 

yeah i planned on only running about five lbs of boost, i have a build head, so i am not really worried about that either, thank god!!! i am thinking of doing the internals in the bottom end but not sure when, as for a DOHC motor in a newer generation car, as far as i know i have not hurd of one that is not turboed , all the DOHC engens that i know of are turboed 2.4 the older body styles 95-99 did have a DOHC motor
