Ok, so, I just bought a 2001 Neon, after someone totaled my 96. It's Salsa Red(love the color) with 51K. A few minor problems.

1. Rear defroster does not work. When I push the button, the light comes on, but nothing happens. Any ideas?
2. My Power Outlet did not work, replaced the fuse, started working, but, when I started my car, a few times, smoke puffed out from
the inside fuse panel. Also, at the same time, the door locks would not LOCK, but, would UNlock. So, after a few days of this, the
P/O fuse under the hood blew again. Any ideas??
3. Reverse lights are not working, checked bulb, was blown, replaced, but still does not work. Where is the reverse relay??
4. Last, inside dome light does not work... bulb is OK, any suggestions??

If your rear defroster isnto working the wiring is probably disconnected somewhere, or the heat realays are busted.

Your power outlet probably isnt grounded like it should be.

Again, probably bad ground blowing your fuses.

Reverse relay if its anything like the 1st gen is gonna be somewhere inside or around the tail lights.

Bulb light, probably frayed,

These are just ideas, not solutions.
